Your host family will assist you in finding suitable offers within their area, and contribute 320 euros per year to your language course. The au pair programme in the Netherlands is explicitly designed for a cultural exchange. Therefore, your host family will help you to experience Dutch culture through various cultural activities.
Hours on duty Up to 30 hours / week 8 hours / day
Pocket money €340 / month for 120 hours / month
Additional babysitting for your host family or taking on a job on the side is also not allowed.

Au pair in Austria
Age Aged between 18-27
Length of stay 6- 12 months
Other basic requirements • You like to work with kids and have childcare experience

• You want to take a German language course
• You need a Health Report and a valid passport or ID-card
• You must be non-smoker
• You must not have been an au pair in Austria in the last 5 years
• You should agree to stay as an au pair in Austria for at least 6 month
• Au Pairs must pay for their own travel expenses
Language •You speak a little bit of German and wish to improve it
•You want to take a German language course
•It is possible to take a language course while you are in Austria. The host family will pay 50 percent of the course. You will have to cover additional expenses.
Hours on duty Up to 19 hours / week
Pocket money €405 - €505 / month for 76 hours / month
The pocket money of au pairs in Austria is officially considered to be a salary. Therefore, it is paid at the end of each month as a salary for 19 working hours per week. Furthermore, you are entitled to receive a 15-month pocket money, in other words, three monthly salaries in addition, provided that the placement lasts a whole year.

Au pair in the UK
Age Aged between18-30. There is no age restriction on EU nationals in the UK.

Pocket money £70 - £100/ week for 25-30 hours
Although au pairs in the UK do not have the same employment status as regular workers and employees, depending on how much pocket money they receive, they may have to pay income tax and National Insurance.

Au pair in Switzerland
Age Aged between17-30.
Length of stay 1 year
Au pairs from EU or EFTA countries have the opportunity, under reasonable circumstances, to extend their au pair stay to a maximum of 24 months.

• You are interested in the Swiss culture
• You want to take a German or French language course
• You need a Health Report and a valid passport or ID-card

• Au Pairs must pay for their own travel expenses I n some cantons the host family is responsible for the travel costs of the au pairs
Language Speak the language of the host family (German or French) or have a good command of English. It's more important that your native language is not the same as the host families. Au pairs who work in Switzerland have to attend a language course, according to which language is spoken where they are staying. The host family is responsible for paying the fees of this course. If the au pair stay lasts a year the language course must consist of 120 hours (around 2-3 hours per week). Private instruction from an individual is only possible in special circumstances.

Your host family is going to schedule your working hours, right after you arrived. It is also important to include all arrangements in your Au Pair contract such as working hours, your time off, pocket money.
Pocket money As an Au Pair in Switzerland you should expect to earn a minimum amount of 500 - 800 CHF net per month. The amount of pocket money changes, according to the age of the au pair and the canton in which they are au pairing. If you are unable to work, you are entitled to continued payment. Holidays and bank holidays are also paid.

Au pair in Germany

• Au Pairs must pay for their own travel expenses
Language You speak a bit of German or have a good command of English. Your host family should offer you the opportunity to attend a German language course during your spare time. The same applies to cultural activities. Family will also have to pay a monthly amount of 50 euro for the Au Pair to join a German course.
Hours on duty Up to 30 hours / week 5 - 6 hours / day including babysitting.
Your main responsibility is to look after the children of your host family. Helping with light housework also forms part of your duties. Our tip: talk to your host family in advance about your exact duties. Once in Germany you should set up a daily / weekly schedule with your host family. We recommend listing these duties and including them in your au pair contract before signing it. Working hours. You can arrange your time for doing the household chores according to the family's habits and needs.
Pocket money In Germany, an au pair receives monthly pocket money of €260. In this context, the number of working hours is irrelevant. You are also entitled to your pocket money during your holiday and in case of illness. The Au Pair should open a German bank account once in Germany so the family can transfer the money every month in a very easy and comfortable way.

Language You speak a bit of Spanish and wish to improve your language skills. You should attend a Spanish course to learn the language more effectively. Family will talk to the au pair in Spanish so they can learn Spanish at home as well.
Hours on duty Between 25 - 40 hours / week 5 - 6 hours / day including babysitting. There are no official regulations on how many hours you need to work as an au pair in Spain.
Pocket money In Spain, au pairs receive €50 - €70 / week as pocket money from their host family.

• You want to take a language course as well as qualified to go to university language course. You have a school degree which allows you to attend university or you can proof that you attended school until you were 17 years old
Language As an au pair, you have to take part in a Dutch, French or German language course, according to the region where you will be staying.
Hours on duty 20 hours / week 5 hours / day including babysitting.
Pocket money At least €450 pocket money / month, which has to be deposited to your bank account.

Language Au pairs must participate in a language course for foreigners or in a culture and civilisation course in order to be an au pair in Luxembourg.
Hours on duty You will work for a maximum of 5-6 hours per day and 30 hours per week.
Pocket money According to Luxembourgish regulations, the amount of pocket money that you receive from the host family corresponds to a quarter of the national minimum wage, which is reviewed every year. The corresponding amount is €480.74 per month.
