The au pair programme

The au pair experience is a cultural exchange program, which gives the au pair an opportunity to study a foreign language, learn about another culture. They help with childcare and light housework and in return, receive pocket money, full board and lodging and their own bedroom therefore should be treated as a member of the family. An au pair is not a trained nanny or a housekeeper and also not an employee.
